How to use the Simple Editor
Text styling
Use buttons on the right hand side to toggle the style or color of the text. Effects can only be applied to the entire text field - it's not possible to only apply them to a particular word or fragment.
To clear all styling, use the "Default" button.
Functionality and special options
Save and Load
Use "Save" to store the text as well as its styling in the browser history. Use "Load" to recover the saved content.
Content will be available until browser history is cleared.
"Load only text"
When this option is selected, the editor will load only the text from the most recent save. Any style options active in the editor when this is done will be preserved and will affect the loaded text.
"Auto-load"
When this option is selected, the editor will always load the latest saved content; can be used together with "Load only text".
Note: This option does not automatically save the content of the editor. The editor will load only the content which has most recently been saved by the user.
"Auto-save"
When this option is selected, the editor will save its contents and then automatically save them again after any subsequent changes - including text formatting - until the option is turned off. Once activated, this option remains on even after the editor is closed and reopened, until the user turns it off again.
